• Saturn was named after the Roman God of Harvest.  Saturn was the son of Uranus and the father of Jupiter.

Facts about Saturn:

1.  2nd largest planet in the solar system.

2.  Also called a gas giant, like Jupiter.

3.  Saturn is most well known for its rings of rocks, dust and ice particles

4.  Saturn has 53 moons, the most well known is Titan which is also larger than the planet Mercury.
